INTRODUCTION
The theme of the given work is “Problems of literary translation”. Translation is the communication of the meaning of a source-language text by means of an equivalent target-language text. Language - one of the most important means of communicating people among themselves, through which they exchange thoughts and communicate. People communicate in two ways: verbally and in writing. If two or more people speak the same language, then communication is not difficult, but when people speak different languages, it is not so easy to exchange ideas. In this case, people resort to translation, that is, to "the process and result of the transmission of information (content) caused by social necessity expressed in a written or oral text in one language, by means of an equivalent (adequate) text in another language". Although it is usually said about the translation "from one language to another", but, in fact, the translation process is not just a replacement of one language by another. Different cultures, personalities, different warehouses of thinking, different literature, different epochs, levels of development and traditions are faced in translation.
People have been translating from time immemorial. When two people live in the neighborhood, they either fight or fight with each other. In any case, there is a need for an interpreter, that is, a person who knows (at least a little) the languages of both peoples and translates even the general meaning of the statements in their languages. Translation, therefore, is an important means of ensuring the performance of the language of its communicative function in those cases where people express their thoughts in different languages. The theme of the problems of the literary of translation plays a very important role nowadays. There are a lot of foreign writers and it is interesting to read their books and to know their stories and specific style of writing. That’s why the translators must transfer the meaning of the text adequately. The wrong translation can lead to the misunderstanding and translation mistakes. The process of translating text from one language to another can be very time-consuming, especially many difficulties and questions. Translation of artistic texts, which is associated with their stylistic originality. In the course of his activity, the interpreter inevitably faced the need to choose between different versions of the translation, to decide what is most important in the translated text and which must necessarily be transmitted, to give preference to one or another method of translation transformation.
The relevance of the study is determined by disagreements in the field of the translation of the artistic text, the techniques most suitable for translating it, the uncertainty in the allocation of ways to translate works of art.
The object of studying this work are fragments of the literary work " The Hunger Games "
The subject of the study is a literary translation.
The aim of this work is to study is to identify the problems of literary translation from English into Russian also study the theory of translation and show the received knowledge in practice to show what method of translation is better while translating such texts.
To achieve this aim the author should:
• To define the concept of " literary translation";
• To study the difficulty of translating fiction;
• Study the difficulties of translating poetry;
• To translate the poem “The Road Not Taken” Robert Lee Frost (identify transformations and ways of translation);
• To translate the story “The Hunger Games” Suzanne Collins (Identify transformations and ways of translation);
• To analyze literary translation;
When writing this course work, I relied on the works of well-known linguists and translators: Bespalova N.P., Woglin Ch.F., Vinogradov V.S., Galperin I.R., Ermolovich D.I., Kazakova T.A., Kolomeitseva E.M., Makeeva M.N., Lotman Yu.M., Romanova S.P., Koralova A.L., Fedorov A.V., Schweitzer A.D., Kholstinina T.V., Fomina T.D.
The practical value of the work consists in the possibility of applying its provisions in the courses of stylistics, the theory of translation and, most importantly, in the translation practice.

Chapter I. PROBLEMS OF THE LITERARY TRANSLATION

1.1 The concept of literary translation
Art translation is one of the types of literary creativity, in which the content of a work written in one language is transmitted on the other. Literature is the only art that has language boundaries. No painting, no music, no dance, no sculpture have barriers to perception, only a literary work is available to that category of readers who speaks the original language at a sufficiently high level.
One of the most difficult, time-consuming and wide-ranging types of translation is the translation of literary texts. Artistic texts include prosaic and poetic works, not just written by the hand of one author and conveying a story to the reader, but also differing in a unique language, a particular style of a particular writer or poet. All these subtleties must be taken into account in the work of an interpreter.
So, a good artistic translation must be accurate, concise, clear, literary. The translator in his work should not miss the thread of the narrative, he needs to preserve the authors train of thought with all the nuances and nuances of reflection and experience. The reader gets acquainted with the work of a foreign author and wants to understand his thoughts and feelings just as the compatriots understand the artist. Whatever encyclopedic knowledge and life experience an interpreter could possess, he has no right to add anything to himself in the canvas.
From whatever language the artistic translation is carried out, it must correspond to the norms of the Russian literary language. The syntactic constructions of the translated text should not conflict with how we are used to speaking and constructing sentences. Famous proverbs and phraseologisms of each people need to find a suitable equivalent in Russian folklore. The narrative in translation, even from English, even from Chinese, should be absolutely natural for Russian perception.
Literary translation consists in choosing such a way of transferring the initial information, which leads to a translated text with an adequate initial impact on the recipient. The main object with this method of translation is not so much the language composition of the source text, as its content and emotional-aesthetic value. Moreover, such a translation does not allow either abbreviations or simplifications of the source material.
Since the syntactic structures of Russian and English are widely divergent, it is very difficult, and it is almost impossible to completely transfer the original.
Moreover, in the interests of accuracy of the transmission of meaning, it is often necessary, when translating, to resort to a change in the structure of the translated sentence in accordance with the norms of the Russian language; rearrange or even replace individual words and expressions...

CONCLUSION
The theme of the given course paper is "Problems of the literary of translation".
It is difficult for translators to translate poems, stories, novels and etc. because there are not some phrases, statements, proverbs in Russian language. Also translators have problems with false friends.
The theme of the problems of the literary of translation plays a very important role nowadays. The author reached the aims, mentioned above and did the following confusions:
Literal texts have their specific terminology
The best method of translating literal texts is adequate, because this type of translation is the translation that meets the pragmatic requirements of the translation act and the maximum level of equivalence. In this translation they meet the genre stylistic requirements to the text, correspond public conventional norm of translation; also they do not break the norms of target language. We can even say that the adequate translation is a "good" translation that meets the requirements of communication or persons who evaluate the translation. While translating such texts the author was faced some problems. They are the problems with equivalents, synonymy of the terms, proverbs, false friends, untranslatable, presentation of material in the Russian language. Also during the transition of poem the author had some difficulties with rhyme.
